Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name.
Matthew 6:9-13 · Geneva Bible
After this manner therefore pray ye —
10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done even in earth, as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen.

Mark 1:35Because Jesus did. He rose long before day and went to a solitary place to pray. The busiest and dare I say, most burdened man in the story made time to pray. What's your excuse?“Who so dwelleth in the secret of the most High, shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” — Psalm 91:1
Philippians 4:6Because we are told to bring EVERYTHING to God and reminded to thank Him for what He has done. Thanksgiving has a life changing effect on the one who is grateful- on the ones who have learned (meaning you choose) to be grateful. Thanksgiving teaches us to see the good (that which is working, no matter how little) in our lives. This causes us to move in line with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit- it becomes the natural flow state of being for us when we are grateful to God- the one responsible for us in the first place!
Romans 8:26Because we are weak and often do not know what to ask, and the Spirit prays with us when words fail. God's grace and love is shown through this. His Holy Spirit steps in for you to keep you on the narrow path; the path of LIFE.“Enter in at the strait gate: for it is the wide gate, and broad way that leadeth to destruction: and many there be which go in thereat. Because the gate is strait, and the way narrow that leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” — Matthew 7:13-14
James 5:16For individual and group healing. This is a shared journey. Fellowship is EXTREMELY important. Mandatory actually! It is not JUST about you or me. We are all parts of one body- the body of Christ. When one does not work properly, it affects the whole body's functionality. We are told to confide in (to confess our sins to) each other so that we can pray for each other. We are also told that the earnest or fervent prayer of a righteous person does something good! So, do not lose faith- cover and be covered! Remember, Abraham's belief (faith) in God was what was counted as righteousness to him by God. Truly, we are merely asked to BELIEVE! All else flows from faith in God through Jesus.“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not one office, So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one, one another's members.” — Romans 12:4-5
1 Peter 5:7God cares about you. He cares about us. He would not have sent Jesus to die for us if He did not love us. He gave us a sure way to be reconnected with Him. Does that not scream "GREATEST LOVE STORY OF ALL TIME" ?! You can trust Him, you can give yourself to Him and know that you will never regret it.“Come unto me, all ye that are weary and laden, and I will ease you. Take my yoke on you, and learn of me that I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” — Matthew 11:28-30See John 3.

Before you fast
Fasting in Scripture was never only about food — Daniel kept a partial fast, and Isaiah calls justice and generosity the fast God chooses. If you are pregnant, diabetic, on medication, have any health condition, or have ever struggled with eating, please speak to a doctor before going without food. Nothing here is instruction on how long to fast.
